Contract Logistics for Panasonic at the Ladbergen Site

A Logistics Partnership Across 12,000 Square Metres

Since June 2026, NOSTA Group has been providing comprehensive contract logistics services for Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH at its Ladbergen site, with the warehouse fully operational since August. Across 12,000 square metres, our services now include the inbound handling, storage and outbound handling of air-to-water heat pumps and air-conditioning units.

In addition, we handle the picking of customer-specific orders for Panasonic and will also take over road transport operations to other European countries in the future. For our Head of Contract Logistics Germany, Jan Steinacker, this is a strong sign of trust: “We are particularly pleased that, in addition to the warehousing services originally agreed, Panasonic is also placing its trust in our Road Business Unit.”

What was important for the partnership

Several factors played a role in the selection of the logistics partner. In addition to the strategically advantageous geographical location of our site in Ladbergen, the combination of a mid-sized corporate culture and a strong commitment to technological innovation was particularly compelling.

Philipp Stephan, General Manager Supply Chain Europe at Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH, explains which other aspects are important to Panasonic in the collaboration in our video about the implementation phase. He provides insights into the partnership with NOSTA Group and the coordination between the teams involved.

How we implement individual customer requirements

At the customer’s request, we installed drive-in racking in Ladbergen to make efficient use of the available space and purchased clamp forklifts for handling the heat pumps. This type of material handling equipment has already proven its value at other NOSTA Group sites for many years.

Ladbergen is also becoming the first logistics site where Panasonic uses automated, scan-based measurement and weighing of packages. NOSTA Group integrated the technology at the customer’s request. The aim is to use the resulting data to make freight cost calculations and transport allocation more efficient.

A long-term logistics partnership

Together with Panasonic, we have defined a long-term growth perspective that allows operational capacity to be expanded to up to 19,000 square metres, depending on future requirements.

Since the implementation phase, the partnership has been characterised by close coordination between the teams involved. Our video provides insights into this phase and shows how the joint logistics solution in Ladbergen was implemented step by step.
