Bucharest (RO), June 11, 2025 – The NOSTA Group marks one year of successful operations at its Bucharest branch. The site in the Romanian capital is the second location of the national company NOSTA Logistics S.R.L. and complements the comprehensive road transport services, which are handled predominantly in Cluj-Napoca, with air and ocean freight. With its branches in the capital and in Cluj-Napoca, the country's second largest city, NOSTA is present in two of Romania's economically strongest regions. Since the start of operations in Romania, NOSTA Logistics S.R.L. has been able to acquire many regular clients. The success of the national company in the Danube-Carpathian region directly contributes to the logistics service provider's internationalization strategy.
“Within the first year, we were able to significantly expand our client base in Romania and solidify our position in the market – a trajectory of success that we aim to further strengthen this year,“ says Szilard Sarkozi, Managing Director of the Romanian national company. After NOSTA opened its first Romanian branch in Cluj-Napoca in December 2023, the branch in Bucharest followed shortly afterwards. The logistics service provider thus positions itself in two of the three strongest economic regions in Romania.
The Bucharest branch offers considerable potential due to its strategically favorable proximity to the country's largest cargo airport. While NOSTA in Cluj-Napoca specializes in road transport, the company's focus in the capital is on ocean and air freight solutions for national and international customers. Within the first year of operation, the client base grew and came from a wide range of industries - including automotive, furniture, retail as well as oil and gas. “In the last twelve months, we have been able to make a name for ourselves on the Romanian market,” says Sarkozi, adding: “Our goal for the second business year is to further consolidate this position and gradually expand our client base to additional sectors.”
Thanks to the positive business development at its Romanian branches, NOSTA Logistics S.R.L. plays a central role in the internationalization strategy of the full-service logistics provider based in Osnabrück, Germany. “By expanding our presence in Eastern Europe, we are improving local customer service and simplifying cooperation within Europe,” states Sarkozi, explaining the strategic advantages. Local capacities also reduce the need for outsourced services and strengthen direct local management.
At the same time, the Romanian national company benefits from the synergies created by the group's strong international presence. For instance, the close cooperation with the NOSTA locations in Poland and the coordination of imports and exports avoid empty runs between the two countries – thus increasing efficiency in the supply chain.
