NOSTA Takes over Contract Logistics and Transport Handling for Panasonic

  • 12,000 square metres of logistics space for air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump technology at the NOSTA site in Ladbergen
  • Connecting production sites in Europe and Asia with customers in the DACH region and Benelux
  • Customer-specific warehouse technology such as drive-in racking and clamp forklifts

Osnabrück/Ladbergen, 19 June 2026 – NOSTA Logistics GmbH is turning Ladbergen into a logistics hub for Panasonic HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning). To this end, the full-service logistics provider is making 12,000 square metres of logistics space available at its multi-user site in Ladbergen for air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump technology. The goods arrive at the site from European and Asian production locations and will in future be transported by NOSTA to European customers, with a focus on the DACH-Benelux region. The logistics provider is currently equipping the warehouse with customer-specific storage technology, after which commissioning will take place in stages: goods receipt is scheduled to start in June, followed by goods dispatch from July. The site is expected to go into full operation in August.

“The demand for efficient heating and cooling solutions is growing. With Panasonic, we are gaining a partner whose future-oriented products serve high-growth international markets,” says Jan Steinacker, Head of Contract Logistics Germany at the NOSTA Group. In future, the range of services in Ladbergen will include goods receipt, storage and goods dispatch for air-to-water heat pumps and air conditioning units, as well as the picking of customer-specific orders. Steinacker adds: “What is particularly pleasing is that, in addition to the warehouse logistics originally agreed in the contract, we will also be taking over the handling of road transports to other European countries – a strong sign of trust from our partner.”

During its search for a logistics provider in the Osnabrück region, the leading provider of heating and cooling solutions proactively invited NOSTA in 2025 to participate in the tender process, in which the full-service logistics provider ultimately prevailed. “The decisive factors in awarding the contract were, in particular, the convincing combination of a medium-sized corporate culture and technological openness to innovation, as well as the strategically advantageous geographical location,” explains Philipp Stephan, General Manager Supply Chain Europe at Panasonic Heating Ventilation Airconditioning Europe.

NOSTA is currently equipping the logistics areas in Ladbergen in line with its customer’s specific requirements. Steinacker says: “This includes, among other things, the installation of drive-in racking for efficient use of space and the acquisition of clamp forklifts for handling the heat pumps – a type of industrial truck technology that has proven itself at other NOSTA sites for many years.”

With 175 employees, the Ladbergen site is the largest location of the NOSTA Group. In total, around 25,000 square metres of logistics space are available there. The project with Panasonic will initially start on an area of around 12,000 square metres. A long-term growth perspective has been defined for the further development of the partnership, enabling operational capacities to be expanded to up to 19,000 square metres depending on future requirements. In the next step, NOSTA will relocate around 200 truckloads of goods from previous Panasonic warehouse locations to Ladbergen.

In addition, Ladbergen will become the first logistics site at which Panasonic uses automatic, scan-based measurement and weighing of packages – with the help of a technology that NOSTA has integrated at the customer’s request. Based on this data, freight cost calculation and transport allocation can be carried out more efficiently.

Looking ahead to the upcoming operational start, Nicolas Gallenkamp, CEO of NOSTA Holding GmbH, emphasises the partnership-based cooperation in particular: “Even before the start of the implementation phase, our collaboration with Panasonic was characterised by trust and openness. We are therefore all the more pleased that, in addition to Contract Logistics, our Road business unit will also be working with the customer in future. My special thanks go to our Contract Logistics team around Jan Steinacker for their strong commitment and professional implementation.”
