The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) have agreed to a tentative agreement to extend the Master contract until January 15, 2025. The strike is over.
Approximately 50 vessels are currently waiting at U.S. East and Gulf coasts. The impact of the strike will be felt for some weeks but likely will not extend into next year. This is good news for US supply chains.
